"ChelseaCatGirl presents"

As the story began, we pan to an interesting church called Notre Dame, a place well known in all of Paris. As we go through the people in town, someone was singing.

Voice: (singing) Morning in Paris, the city awakes
To the bells of Notre Dame
The fisherman fishes, the bakerman bakes
To the bells of Notre Dame

As we continue passing by, a fisher named Big the Cat was fishing on a side of a bridge while a baker named Chef Kawasaki came out with bread and put them where the others were outside.

Voice: (singing) To the big bells as loud as the thunder
To the little bells soft as a psalm
And some say the soul of the city's
The toll of the bells
The bells of Notre Dame

At a wagon, where many children were watching, they watched the show happily while a figure was in it. He was red and yellow animate stopwatch with black arms and legs, has blue clock hands, he has a blue top on his head. He wears white gloves and shoes, and he has orange eyes. His name was TicToc, or T.T. for short and he was performing with a puppet version of himself.

T.T.: (smiles) Listen, they're beautiful, no? So many colors of sound, so many changing moods. Because, you know, they don't ring all by themselves.

T.T.'s Puppet: They don't?!?

T.T.: No, silly boy. Up there, high, high in the dark bell tower, lives the mysterious bell ringer. Who is this creature?

T.T.'s Puppet: Who?

T.T.: Who could he be?

T.T.'s Puppet: (interested) What is he?

T.T.: (looks at the tower) How did he come to be there?

T.T.'s Puppet: How?!

T.T.: (angrily) Hush!

He whacked the puppet with a stick, then looked at the kids.

T.T.: Well, since you asked very nicely, old T.T.'s gonna tell you. This tale's about the bell ringer. A story of a man...(almost wickedly) and a monster!

Years ago, on a snowy night, four people were traveling by a boat, trying not to be seen. One of them was a long blond haired woman with green wearing a black shirt with a purple jacket and white shorts and black heels, named Jennifer Nocturne, carrying a baby and trying not to be alerted by the crying. With her were three others named Ted the boat builder, who's a living acorn, and the two human siblings, Miriam, and Aaron.

T.T.'s Voice: (singing) Dark was the night when our tale was begun
On the docks near Notre Dame

The baby was crying as Miriam spoke.

Miriam: Please keep the son quiet.

Aaron: He'll take us away.

Jennifer: Hush, little one.

T.T.'s Voice: (singing) Four frightened gypsies slid silently under
The docks of Notre Dame

They got off the boat, while Ted said to the three.

Ted: Quickly, we need four guilders so we can get for safe passage into Paris.

Without warning, however, a blade slashed the stick on Ted's hand. The group looked horrified as they saw the guards with their weapons.

Jennifer: Oh no.

Miriam: Not this!

T.T.'s Voice: (singing) But a trap had been laid for the gypsies
And they gazed up in fear and alarm
At a figure whose clutches
Were iron as much as the bells

They then turned as they saw a figure coming to them. He was an anthropomorphic panther with black and gray fur, a king's crown, a black and purple king's robe, he was known as the Panther King, the judge.

Aaron: (gasps) The Panther King!

T.T.'s Voice: (singing) The bells of Notre Dame
The Panther King longed
To purge the world
Of vice and sin

As the The Panther King glared at the gypsies with hatred, most of them were cuffed with only Jennifer remaining free. The woman looked frightened as her friends were being taken away while holding the baby protectively.

T.T.'s Voice: (singing) And he saw corruption
Ev'rywhere
Except within

Panther King: Bring these gypsy vermin to the Palace of Justice.

Then, a guard noticed Jennifer holding the baby.

Guard: You there! What are you hiding!?!

Panther King: Stolen goods, no doubt. Take them from her.

Jennifer: (gasps) No!

T.T.'s Voice: (grimly) She ran.

She then ran quickly with her baby as Miriam shouted.

Miriam: Hurry, run!

The Panther King narrowed his eyes as he hopped on his horse and chased her. Jennifer continued running, though slid a little and ran the steps as the Panther King was almost upon her. Before he could get too close, Jennifer with all her might jumped over the fence.

Jennifer: (sighs) Close one.

She then saw Notre Dame and ran to it quickly.

Chorus: (singing) Dies irae, dies illa (Day of wrath, that day)
Solvet saeclum in favilla (Shall consume the world in ashes)
Teste David cum sibylla (As prophesied by David and the sibyl)
Quantus tremor est futurus (What trembling is to be)
Quando Judex est venturus (When the Judge is come)

Then, Jennifer arrived at the door, pounding it hard.

Jennifer: (crying) Sanctuary! I need sanctuary!

She turned and gasped in horror. The Panther King got by the fence and ran toward her with his horse. The scared woman tried running off, but he got too close and seized the baby's blanket.

Jennifer: (struggles) Let go!

Panther King: No...now you die!

He kicked her, resulting in the woman to forcefully let go and hitting the steps too hard, dying as the Panther King heard the snapping of her neck when she fell too hard. Just then, the Panther King heard the baby crying.

Panther King: (surprised) A baby?

He then opened the blanket and looked. He gasped and quickly looked away, closing the blanket.

Panther King: A monster!

He then looked around, then saw a well nearby, then got off of his horse, walking there. He then prepared to drop the infant inside the well. Just then, a voice shouted.

Voice: STOP!

T.T.'s Voice: (sounding happy) Cried Li Yuen.

Indeed, someone had stopped the Panther King from killing off the child. He turned and saw him. He was a yellow brown lion with a brown mane and blue eyes and wears a blue and white robe. His name was Li Yuen.

Panther King: (frowns) What do you want? This is an unholy monster! (shouts) I'm doing it right by sending him back to the flames of Hell.

The lion frowned as he kneeled down next to the Panther King while singing.

Li Yuen: (singing) See there the innocent blood you have spilt
On the steps of Notre Dame

Panther King: I am guiltless--she ran, I pursued.

Li Yuen: (singing) Now you would add this child's blood to your guilt
On the steps of Notre Dame

Panther King: My conscience is clear!

Li Yuen: (singing) You can lie to yourself and your minions
You can claim that you haven't a qualm

He then nodded sternly as he pointed to the statues all around the building.

Li Yuen: (singing) But you never can run from
Nor hide what you've done from the eyes
The very eyes of Notre Dame

Chorus: (singing) Kyrie Eleison (Lord have mercy)

The Panther King looked frightened as he thought the statues looked accusingly to him.

T.T.'s Voice: (singing) And for one time in his life
Of power and control

Chorus: (singing) Kyrie Eleison (Lord have mercy)

T.T.'s Voice: (singing) The Panther King felt a twinge of fear
For his immortal soul

The Panther King became more frightened as he stared at the statue of Mary holding baby Jesus with both of them looking like they were staring at him hatefully. Thunder crashed and lightning struck as he knew then that he wouldn't kill the infant.

Panther King: (sighs) Very well...what do you suggest, Li Yuen?

He picked up the dead woman as he spoke.

Li Yuen: Care for the child, raise it as your own, to make up for this evil deed.

Panther King: What!? I'm to be saddled with this misshapen--

He then stopped for a moment, then looked down at the infant child as he spoke.

Panther King: Very well...under one condition. He must remain here, in your church.

Li Yuen: Live here? But where?

Panther King: Anywhere...

He then looked at the infant, a bit tenderly as he sang.

Panther King: (singing) Just so he's kept locked away
Where no one else can see.

He then looked at the bell tower as he spoke.

Panther King: The bell tower should be the right place. And maybe in time...well, they do say this: "our Lord works in mysterious ways."

He looked at the child as he continued through singing.

Panther King: (singing) Even this foul creature may
Yet prove one day to be
Of use to me

Back in the present, T.T. showed the puppet version of the Panther King holding the child.

T.T.: And the Panther King gave the child a cruel name. A name that means half-formed... Speedy Cerviche

As the puppet show continued, the young baby now grew up as a cat who rang the bells.

T.T.: (singing) Now here is a riddle to guess if you can
Sing the bells of Notre Dame
Who is the monster and who is the man?

T.T. & Chorus: (singing) Sing the bells, bells, bells, bells
Bells, bells, bells, bells
Bells of Notre Dame

As the song ended, we go from the puppet show to the bell tower as the actual bells rang loudly. The figure continued ringing the bells since that day.

Nice. I'm planning on making a parody of of "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame", too.
